{"id":1352,"date":"2016-07-15T17:30:00","date_gmt":"2016-07-15T08:30:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/uzunokuni.sakura.ne.jp\/eki\/archives\/2016\/07\/intro-15173000.html"},"modified":"2022-09-30T09:28:51","modified_gmt":"2022-09-30T00:28:51","slug":"post_275","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/eki.uzunokuni.com\/en\/topics\/1352\/","title":{"rendered":"Tomorrow, the sweet white corn produced by Mr. Shun Sakoda will finally arrive!"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Thank you very much for visiting Roadside Station Uzushio Shop Uzunokuni.<\/p>\n<p>Starting tomorrow, 7\/16, white corn produced by Mr. Shun Sakoda, producer of Awajishima onion honeydew, specially grown with 100% organic fertilizer, will arrive!<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"\" height=\"\" class=\"img-responsive\" alt=\"\" src=\"http:\/\/eki.uzunokuni.com\/images\/blog_photo\/20160707%20%281%29.JPG\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Mr. Shun Sakoda, a producer of Awaji Island onion \"Mitsu-tama,\" which has a great aftertaste with less egumi-ness and pungency, is trying his hand at producing white corn this year! Last year, when he tasted white corn produced by a farmer he knew, he was so impressed by its sweetness and taste that he decided to produce white corn himself.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"\" height=\"\" class=\"img-responsive\" alt=\"\" src=\"http:\/\/eki.uzunokuni.com\/images\/blog_photo\/b7a9b04a1b1991ba38c1858c990df69ba6af3355.JPG\" \/><\/p>\n<p>He then decided to incorporate the techniques he had developed with honey beads into his cultivation methods.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"\" height=\"\" class=\"img-responsive\" alt=\"\" src=\"http:\/\/eki.uzunokuni.com\/images\/blog_photo\/20160707%20%283%29.JPG\" \/><\/p>\n<p>By growing the corn with reduced pesticides and feeding it with enzymes, they were able to produce white corn that is less eggy, has a richer flavor, and is easier to eat. The average sugar content is 15 degrees, and at its highest, more than 17 degrees, which is higher than that of melons!<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"\" height=\"\" class=\"img-responsive\" alt=\"\" src=\"http:\/\/eki.uzunokuni.com\/images\/blog_photo\/20160707%20%284%29.JPG\" \/><\/p>\n<p>It is so fresh and juicy that it can be eaten raw. When cooked further, the aroma and sweetness will flood your mouth.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p>Mr. Sakoda's white corn will be on sale at Shop Uzunokuni from tomorrow!<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"\" height=\"\" class=\"img-responsive\" alt=\"\" src=\"http:\/\/eki.uzunokuni.com\/images\/blog_photo\/20160707%20%285%29.jpg\" \/><\/p>\n<p>We will be offering tastings, so please come and try the white corn grown by Mr. Sakoda!
