The Shop of Uzumiguni
About 800 souvenir items are available, including onions from contract farmers and chirimen sansho (Japanese pepper) made by a local fishery company with an emphasis on freshness. There are also many original products only available here!

Uzushio Restaurant
The restaurant overlooks Onaruto Bridge, and depending on the time of day, the whirlpools can be seen from the restaurant. In addition to seasonal fish that our chef, a former fishmonger, selects from a wide selection, we also offer a menu of Awaji beef for meat lovers.

Awajishima Burger Awajishima Onion Kitchen
We sell original creative burgers using Awaji Island ingredients, including the "Awajishima Onion Beef Burger" and "Awajishima Onion Gratin Burger," which won first and second place in the National Gotochi Burger Grand Prix.

The observation deck can be accessed from the back of the museum store. The power of the Onaruto Bridge up close and personal, and the view of the Naruto Straits with Japan's largest tidal currents are also a sight to behold. *No entry during strong winds.

A large onion-shaped chair. Currently, there are three "O-tama Chairs" at Michi no Eki Uzushio. The only "Okidama Chair" that can be photographed with the Onaruto Bridge in the background is at Michi no Eki Uzushio, so be sure to take a commemorative photo.

In late April, beautiful purple clusters of flowers appear on the 70-meter-long Fuji trellis along the promenade leading from the parking lot to Michi-no-Eki Uzushio (Roadside Station).

The closest roadside station to the whirlpools.
Onion-shaped chairs are placed at three locations on the premises, including a terrace with a view of the Onaruto Bridge, where commemorative photos are a must!
At the restaurant, you can also enjoy the view of the whirlpools and Onaruto Bridge while tasting local food.
The store offers one of the largest selections on the island, including private brands available only here, onions directly from contract farmers, and marine products.
There is also a burger store with a long line of customers, selling burgers that won first & second place in the national local burger grand prix. In the seaside park below, you can rest on a yellow bench and be soothed by the beautiful and spectacular view.

For those traveling by air
We recommend the limited period bus (Awaji Kotsu) from Tokushima Airport to Minami-Awaji City. Scheduled to operate from July 15, 2022 to January 31, 2023.
Please also take advantage of the convenient and economical free train tickets for sightseeing on Awaji Island.

Bus transfers to and from Awaji Island can be easily searched with the "busmo" application (busmo).
