The Naruto Straits in springtime, when many boats go out to fish. The scenery is expressed in the richness of the sea urchins, such as Awaji Island cherry salmon, kama-age shirasu (dried young sardines), and sea bream, all of which have been nurtured by the whirlpools of the Naruto Straits. We also recommend the miso soup with Awaji Island spring wakame, which has an appealing crunchy texture.
