Located just past the Great Naruto Bridge, this roadside station is the southernmost on Awaji Island. The brand-new building, renovated last year, is full of playful charm. With a cute sweets shop featuring a cow-print design and a burger shop that has further refined the burgers that won first and second place in the National Local Burger Grand Prix, it feels just like a theme park. At the bustling “Shop Uzunokuni,” you’ll find a packed selection of 1,000 different must-see items from Awaji Island—ranging from local specialties to handicrafts—all year round. If you’d like to enjoy a leisurely meal, head to “Irori Shokudo Uzushio.”
You can enjoy fresh fish shipped directly from nearby ports, as well as rare Awaji beef. The highlight is the observation deck on the top floor. See the Great Naruto Bridge up close—it’s truly spectacular! The panoramic view of the Naruto Strait and the waters around Awaji Island is simply exhilarating.
