New onions from Tecchan Hamada, a grower on Awaji Island who is working on "growing delicious onions," are coming in now!
The variety is "Hamano Treasure". Onions at this time of year are usually eaten as onion slices with your favorite dressing.
I recommend slicing it into thick rounds and serving it with onion steak! It goes well with beer!
