New additions have been made to the "Kaori no Machi no Kaori" line of incense sticks from Awaji Island!

Thank you very much for visiting Roadside Station Uzushio Shop Uzunokuni.

With the start of summer vacation, we are very happy to see so many customers visiting our store!

Now, I would like to introduce a new product.

Before I go any further...! It may not be well known, but Awaji Island is Japan's largest producer of incense sticks, with 70% of all incense sticks produced in Japan coming from Awaji Island. Awaji Island has the best in Japan." It makes me somewhat happy!

Among such incense sticks from Awaji Island, the most popular recently is "Kaori no Machi no Kaori" (hard to read...), which is popular among young people for its fashionable packaging, and two new types have been added, bringing the total to three! The one we used to sell has a new package!

Let me introduce you, in order..,

Here's the first one!

Kaori-no-machi's Kaori Sandalwood. This one has a new package.

It is a popular fragrant wood, and its fragrance is different before and after burning. When you smell the scent of sandalwood before burning, it is indescribably elegant.

Here is the second one!

This is Kaori agarwood from Kaori no Machi. Aromatic wood is so heavy that it sinks into water. The name comes from "agarwood", which means "agarwood that sinks in water".

This agarwood is said to be difficult to produce artificially because the mechanism by which it is made is still a mystery.
In addition to that, it takes 50 years to produce agarwood, and about 150 years to produce high-quality agarwood, making this incense made from a very precious aromatic tree!

Here is the third and final one!

Kaori Kyara (Kyara) in Kaori no Machi.
This Kyara is said to be the highest grade of agarwood mentioned above, and is called Kyara, or super high-class incense!

Kaori no Machi no Kaori" is such a special incense stick from Awaji Island. Currently, it is available only at Roadside Station Uzushio Shop Uzunokuni and Shop Uzunooka Aji Market (as of July 25, 2016).
