On the 30th, the second day of Golden Week (GW), blue skies spread over Awaji Island, attracting many visitors to tourist spots.
At Michi no Eki Uzushio (Fukura Hei, Minami-Awaji City), cars with license plates from other prefectures were all over the place.
About 30 people lined up to try the famous Hachimburger, made with onions grown on the island, while enjoying the view of the Naruto Straits.
Yuto Mori, 24, a resident doctor from Nishinomiya City, said, "The onion fries are crispy and delicious.

The facility sells new products in conjunction with GW.
-Awaji Island Onion Kodomo Curry (540 yen including tax), a local retort curry for toddlers aged 5 and older, is free of the seven major allergens, including shrimp and eggs, and contains finely chopped onions from the island in the roux.
As a souvenir, you can easily enjoy the taste of the islands even after your trip.

At the nearby Uzu-no-oka Onaruto Bridge Memorial Hall, a kitchen car sells strawberry and blueberry gelato (500 yen) produced on the island.
During GW, they will also open a store at England Hill (Yagi Yagigami, the same city).
This is the first time in three years that GW has no restriction on activities. A spokesperson for the facility said, "We expect about 30,000 visitors over the 10 days. We hope visitors will enjoy the island's food and clear waters.
