Tingling! Exciting! Everything from spectacular scenery, gourmet food, and souvenirs are the stars of the show!

Roadside Station Uzushio in the Fukura district of Minami-Awaji City, operated by Uzunokuni Minami-Awaji, Inc. will hold its grand opening on October 19, 2025. After two years of temporary operation at the Uzumachi Terrace of the Cape Naruto Parking Lot, the building and interior have been fully renovated. The new concept is "Touring. We aim to create a roadside station where visitors can experience the joys of the tides, the seasons, and encounters with people. The design of the facility incorporates curves and colors reminiscent of the whirlpools, creating a space that will always bring new discoveries to customers and tickle their adventurous spirit. The rooftop is equipped with a spectacular viewing platform from which visitors can enjoy a 360° panoramic view of the Onaruto Bridge and Naruto Straits, the most distinctive feature of Michi no Eki Uzushio. There is also a restaurant where you can enjoy about 100 seasonal delicacies of Uzushi for breakfast, lunch, and takeout, a burger store where you can enjoy more premium products of the Awaji Island burger, which has won the first and second place in Japan, an ultimate milk soft store where you can enjoy the taste of Awaji Island milk, and a souvenir shop where you can buy more than 1,000 kinds of island souvenirs. A souvenir store with more than 1,000 types of island souvenirs is permanently located in the building. Michi no Eki Uzushio aims to be "a roadside station that is exciting and new no matter how many times you come, making you want to go back again and again.

For the grand opening of Michi no Eki Uzushio, we conducted a campaign to name the mascot character, which also serves as the official logo of the station. We decided on "Uzubo" from among the many submissions, in order to create a tourist facility that would make all visitors feel "a new and exciting feeling every time they visit, an itch to come back again, and such child-like feelings! We have prepared many Uzubo contents such as stuffed animal exhibits, stuffed animal raffles, crane games, etc. in the facility. Also, you can enjoy finding Uzubo, who is hidden in various places in the facility, while touring around.

The spectacular 360° (Sanrokumaru) view on the rooftop offers a panoramic 360° view of the Naruto Straits, Onaruto Bridge, and the sea of Awaji Island. The magnificent view of nature will capture your heart and give you a spectacular experience that can only be experienced here.

Irori Shokudo Uzushio - A restaurant that makes use of 100 kinds of Uzushio products per year.

Enjoy the spectacular view and seafood and other "Uzumi no Sachi" (sea creatures)!

This diner offers breakfast and lunch dishes that take advantage of 100 seasonal ingredients selected annually from the Uzu no Sachi. The main course is a set meal that allows you to enjoy the delicacies of Uzuno, including seasonal fish grilled over an open hearth, rice with a purse made of Uzuno's seafood, and the local delicacy tai somen (sea bream somen). Other dishes will include fresh fish from the waters around the Naruto Straits, agricultural products such as onions produced on Awaji Island, and Awaji beef.

Awajishima Milk Stand + (Plus), a milk soft serve specialty store, is a store that conveys the deliciousness of Awajishima milk, mainly by offering the ultimate original soft serve made with a unique formula. It is characterized by its rich and unforgettable exquisite sweetness. The store also plans to offer additional sweets to enjoy the soft-serve ice cream even more, as well as original coffee blends from popular local coffee shops. *Corns are subject to change.

Awajishima Burger Awajishima Onion Kitchen, Main Branch

All new! The Awaji Island Burger can only be tasted here!

This burger store mainly offers the "Onion Beef Burger Premium" and "Onion Gratin Burger Premium," which are further evolved versions of the "Awajishima Burger," which won first and second place in the Gotochi Burger Grand Prix. In addition, all burgers are new this time! Using plenty of Awaji Island ingredients, they look and taste satisfying and can only be found here!

Store Uzunokuni Main Store

The excitement of more than 1,000 souvenirs never ceases to amaze me!

At the Uzunokuni main store, you will find approximately 1,000 different products, 120 of which are original items that you can only find here. We aim to create a shopping experience like "Uzushio," a place where you can enjoy the fun of searching and discover unexpected discoveries as you enjoy a round and round tour of the store, and where you will be thrilled to come back time and time again.

Large-scale digital signage "Uzushio Vision" is now available!

The four seasons on Awaji Island. Introducing the charms of the region!

A giant digital signage "Uzushio Vision" measuring 6 meters wide and 1.5 meters high will appear. Video content will be shown to tourists visiting the facility, suppressing the gourmet food, scenery, and activities of the four seasons and the season visited. In addition, "Awaji Uzusuke," the signature character of "Uzushio Vision" created by timelesz member Satoshi Matsushima and inspired by the "Naruto Straits Whirlpools," will appear on the screen to introduce and promote the charms of the region to visitors in Japan and abroad.
