I want to go there! Awaji Island, Hyogo: Spectacular view of the island with the sea spreading out
After passing through the tunnel and crossing the Akashi-Kaikyo Bridge, the tension of Awaji Island rises dramatically.
Awaji Island, described in the beginning of the Kojiki (Records of Ancient Matters) as "the island of the birth of the nation" and known since ancient times as the land of food for the Imperial Court, is a place to enjoy seasonal island delicacies while admiring the sea scenery.

Roadside Station Uzushio
The southernmost tip of the island is home to a restaurant and café where you can enjoy seasonal Awaji Island cuisine such as fresh shirasu, Spanish mackerel, pike conger eel, Awaji beef, and Awaji Island 3-year torafugu (blowfish), as well as onions from contract farmers and other original souvenirs that can only be purchased here. On the terrace by the sea, giant onion chairs have been set up, and taking pictures with the Onaruto Bridge in the background is a must! The burger that won the local burger contest is also on sale.
