A tradition at Uzushio Roadside Station that evokes the feeling of spring

At Michi-no-Eki Uzushio, the "wisteria trellis," which has been closed for renovation work, will be unveiled for the first time in about three years.

The "wisteria trellis" at Michi-no-Eki Uzushio was built around 1972 (Michi-no-Eki Uzushio opened in 1970). The wisteria trellis has a history of more than half a century, along with the 21 trees that line the 70-meter-long trellis.
The wisteria trellis has been carefully nurtured one by one by the staff, including placing additional trees on the trellis. The wisteria trellis has been a place of relaxation for local residents and has been loved by many visitors, adding color to the spring season.
Wisteria flowers are beautiful and at the same time somewhat "fleeting. The blooming season is surprisingly short, and the blossoms fall in the blink of an eye.
